Mid Season

Well, here we are, midseason, and the bees are busy building up the broodnest and storing honey for the long winter months to come. Our friend Jim Ouellette has been busy too. He has been developing a automatic watering system for urban beekeepers.

His amazing creation has been set up on the 14th floor at the Fairmount Royal York Hotel in Toronto, the site of a collection of hives. Jim asked us to allow him to set up his system in one of our bee yards. This will allow Jim to test the system in a more rural setting as well.

His system is gravity fed, utilizing mother natures rain water as part of the system. So cool Jim, your brain is amazing.
