Pollen Collection Starts

Well its the end of April, and we have started taking stock of how the girls faired over the winter. All and all better then last year. Willows, maples and cowslips are budding. Weather in April has been a mixed bag, with cooler than usual temps some days and higher than normal other days. Dandelions are just starting. We checked all hives mid April when temps were reasonable, and split good hives. Here is a pick of the girls bringing in that early pollen. Cannot believe how busy they are.
