What do we do all winter

While the bees are clustered in their hives conserving food and energy, we are building hive bodies and frames for the coming season. We start in December, so by mid January we have our deep boxes and supers cut. I have about 300 deep frames made, the fun part is wiring them, not really, it is probably the most boring part of bee keeping. We use a jig to assemble the frames. The wiring doesnt take long once you get going on them. We have a jig made up that holds the frame in place, making things a bit easier.
